30 year old Ellen surprised everyone by announcing her marriage to Canadian dance teacher Emma Porter via Instragram. Porter works at the Broadway Dance Centre in New York and has choreographed for Justin Bieber in the past.
Ellen who starred in Juno, Freeheld and the X Men Films kept her sexuality hidden for many years, eventually 'coming out' during her awe-inspiring Human Rights Speech on Valentine's day, 2014.
At the Human Rights ‘Time to thrive’ conference in Las Vegas. she declared that she was "tired of hiding and .. tired of lying by omission." "I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. And I'm standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain."

In 2015, she walked the red carpet at the world premiere of the movie Freeheld with her long term girlfriend, artist Samantha Thomas. She was last photographed with Samantha in January 2017.
Page and Porter have been publicly dating for the last six months.
