Lesbian Vampire movie Carmilla released.

Lesbian Vampire Movie, Carmilla, will premiere in theatres across Canada from 26th October.

Based on Sheridan Le Fanu's classic gothic vampire novel, this Lesbian love story exploded the internet and generated over 70 million views when it ran as a web series from 2014-2016.

The movie includes many of the original cast from the web series, including Elise Bauman (who plays Laura) and Natasha Negovanlis (as Carmilla). Both actresses are openly gay and there has been speculation as to whether they are dating in real life.

In the Web Series, University Student Laura discovers that her room mate has disappeared and has been replaced by Carmilla, who happens to be a lesbian vampire. Carmilla, the daughter of a count, was murdered at a ball in 1878, and has been resurrected as a vampire. The story centres around their love story and investigations.

The movie is set 5 years after the ending of the web-series. Carmilla, who at the end of the web series became human again, is now showing signs of returning to being a vampire.

The Web Series, which won the 2016 Canadian Screen Award is still available to watch on KindaTV at  (https://www.youtube.com/user/VervegirlMagazine).

The Movie can also be pre-ordered as well.
