Tameka Butt announces engagement to team mate Kirsty Yallop.
26 year old Tameka Butt, who was central in Australia winning the Tournament of Nations in the summer of 2017, beating the US and Brazil on the way, tweeted the engagement to Kirsty Yallop.
The very much in love couple have been together since 2015 and proposed to each other on December 27th on a beautiful inlet beach. Tameka proposing first at sunset and then Kirsty as the sun rose.
Tameka and Kirsty, who has played for the New Zealand national team nearly 100 times, are now living in Norway, where they are both Midfielders for Norwegian team Klepp.
What a wonderful year Tameka has had, with being nominated for best midfielder and player of the year in the Norwegian League and now winning the hand of the woman she loves.
And has Australia has just legalised same-sex marriage, they will be able to wed in her home country.
