Weisz, herself Jewish, plays Photographer Ronit, who returns to her Orthodox Jewish Community in North London when her father dies. The reason for her original exile, Esti (Rachel Adams) is now married as her husband felt it would 'cure her.'
It is impossible for the lovers to stay apart and as their passion for each other re-ignites, they push the boundaries of their faith and sexuality.

The story centres around their love story and investigations. Carmilla, who at the end of the web series became human again, is now showing signs of returning to being a vampire.
