Sherida Spitse
27 year old Midfielder Spitse is one of the most successful Netherland stars ever, playing for her country in more than 130 games. She is still their top scorer.
In August 2017, she played a crucial role in helping the team win the Women's European Championship for the first time. She scored in the final, against Denmark, and set up the final goal of the match.
"We want our child to be born in the Netherlands," Spitse said, "I did not feel like sitting on my own. It was also that I received a less good new contract in Lillestrøm. And that while we have won the double three times. "
The couple welcomed their first child into the world in April 2017.
Spitse transferred to Norway's LSK Women and played there successfully for three years.
However, when her girlfriend, Jolien Van Der Tuin was pregnant with their first child, they decided to return to Netherlands.
Nilla Fischer - Sweden
The 33 year old defensive midfielder has over 160 caps playing for the Swedish National Team.
Her performance in the UEFA Women's Euro Cup in 2013 led to her being offered a transfer from Euro Champions team VFL Wolfsburg in Germany. Fischer has now settled in Germany.
In 2013, Nilla married Mariah-Michaela (Mika).
They have been trying for a baby, with countless attempts at IUI and IVF and Mika has been pregnant twice, but both pregnancies sadly ended in miscarriage.
The good news is, the couple are expecting their first much wanted child any day now.
Fischer is a strong advocate for gender equality and LGBT rights.
She says, "It shouldn't be a demand or an obligation but of course it would make an impact if more and more people spoke out".
With the support of her team, she wore a rainbow coloured Captain's armband at a match earlier this year.
Trine Ronning - Norway
Ronning has won more than 150 caps for playing for Norway.
She was in the National Squad for the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2008 Olympic Games.
In 2015, she was appointed as the Captain of the National Team.
Playing as a defender/midfielder, Ronning scored 40 goals in 86 league appearances.
Ronning married footballer Kristin Blystad Bjerke shortly after same sex marriage became legal in Norway. They have now split.
Jessica Landstrom - Sweden
32 year old Swedish Landstrom was in the National Women's Squad for the 2009 UEFA Women's Championship and the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. She also represented Sweden at the 2008 Olympic Games.
As well as playing in the Swedish league, she also played for Sky Blue FC in the US and FFC Frankfurt in Germany
Landstrom came out publically in an interview with QX Magazine in 2008.
The reason was because she wanted to officially thank her longtime girlfriend, entrepreneur Sara Damber, for all her support.
The couple married in 2010, but have since split.
